Specific Job Related Duties
The primary clinical responsibility is caring for critically ill children. An important component of this activity is the establishment of effective working relationships with other pediatrics specialists and sub-specialists, as well as hospitalists and primary care physicians. Additional clinical responsibilities will be determined in part by training and interests, but may include activity with the Pediatric Sedation Service. Effective communication is a core requirement, as well as a proven record of collegial working relationships. Participation in the Department's teaching missions is an expectation. Other duties may include conducting scholarly activities in either teaching, clinical research or basic research.
- Certified by the American Board of Pediatrics
- Board certified in Pediatric Critical Care or Pediatric Pulmonary Medicine with appropriate experience or board eligible with the expectation of board certification within two years of hire.
